Warpaint - “Bees” at Beco 203, São Paulo, Brazil // June 6th 2011 (by sourabhnam)
Um. Okay. I just received an e-mail from a representative of Ani Difranco (yeah, THE Ani Difranco). Her PR people just contacted me to see if I’d be interested in having a copy of her new record that apparently came out today, because, you know. I have a blog. I am a BLOGGER and MUSIC JOURNALIST, apparently. And I warrant e-mailing about such matters.
…I understand that that’s what PR people, like, do, as their job. But I still sort of feel like I’ve arrived in a weird way.
I am now enjoying this super recent video of Ani playing my absolutely all-time favorite song of hers. I sort of lost track of her a few years ago; she was so prolific back then that I just couldn’t keep up with her. (Though I do own and adore Educated Guess.) I totally sent this woman fan mail when I was 14. Whatever, this is fucking amazing.
why i am more excited about this at the drive-in reunion than i have been about anything in a long time: a visual aid.
SO STOKED ABOUT THIS REUNION
This…is the best news ever. There is only one other band that could reunite that would be better than this. (If you know me, you know what band I’m talking about.)
But whatever, this is amazing, UP THA LATINO/SPANISH-SPEAKING PUNX
p.s. I’m don’t wanna go into a long thing or whatever about why this band is important to me, but, I’m curious, am I the only Puerto Rican/Latino kid who saw this band on tv, and then decided that she would one day hang a Puerto Rican flag from her amp? I mean I can’t be the only one, right?(via brujacore)
