Crucial updates from Stephanie’s living room while she does real work:
— On Thursday night I spoke to one of my closest friends from college , who might also be like, the intellectual/platonic love of my life . We talked for hours. And then did so again on Friday. And my life feels completely changed, in a good way. The best way, possibly.
— After hanging out during the day, I wanted a quiet Saturday night home. Turns out that even when I only watch tv half-heartedly, I analyze whatever music I hear like the geek that I am. Question: if an anglo-girl can mimic a rapper like Kid Sister or Nicki Minaj, is that awesome, or is it minstrelsy?
— This afternoon I got and replied to my first ‘work’ email via my new phone. I was, perhaps, more excited by the whole thing than I should have been.
— I got big silver hoop earrings today while I was out with Stephanie, and put them on as soon as we got back to her house. Since then, my vanity level is THROUGH THE ROOF.
— I am super-behind on my writing both zinewise and review-wise. Yikes. Guess that’s what I’m doing tonight when I get home.
